I am a “middle aged” wife and mom (just into my 50s!) and a child of God, who I want to love and serve with my life. I have been considering blogging for a time, but am still not sure exactly what direction I will take. Mostly this blog will likely consist of posts relating to the season of life I am in, finding joy in the journey, and will probably be of most interest to other women. I have a wonderful, hard working husband of 25 years, Myron, who is both a pastor and a dairy farmer, and can fix almost anything! I am so blessed by his love and care for our family, as well as others. Together we have 2 young adult children still at home with us–a daughter, Elissa, and a son Nathan, and our son Darrin in Heaven now 20 years, forever 17 months.
Our children were homeschooled and both graduated from River Valley Mennonite School, my alma mater. I formerly worked as a nurse, but am now a “happy homemaker.” I love to serve my husband and family by keeping our home a welcoming and comfortable place to be. We work together on the farm and produce and sell maple syrup. I enjoy subbing at our school, and have a part time cleaning job. I enjoy a healthy “Trim Healthy Mama” lifestyle, as well as using natural products such as essential oils and supplements. I like the outdoors, walking and biking, and do a little with sewing, photo projects, and musical instruments. We also love traveling and adventures as we are able to plan them. With all of our commitments, it can be very challenging, but we have made some great memories with our kids through the years.
To God be the Glory!
